Cinnamon Sugar Valentine's Day Toast

Valentine's Day Breakfast Love Toast

If you’re the person who wakes up on February 14th and says “oh $@!*, it’s Valentine’s Day!” This easy breakfast idea will save you in a pinch, and it just so happens to be absolutely adorable, too!

Easy Valentine's Day Breakfast Toast

Turn a piece of cinnamon-toast into the cutest love note with a strawberry and a little creative cream cheese. This is one of those “no-recipe” recipes that you can tweak a dozen ways depending on what you have on-hand. Peanut butter instead of cinnamon-sugar? Done. Nutella instead of cream cheese? Even better!

You come to me for cute stuff and while I’d love to say I’m whipping heart-shaped Belgian waffles and Cupid-cups on Valentine’s Day morning…the truth is, I have two small kids and this toast trick is way more my speed at the moment. So if you’re looking for a clever, easy Valentine’s Day treat idea, this just might be for you…

Love Toast Strawberry Valentine's Day Breakfast Erin Phraner

VALENTINE’S DAY “LOVE” TOAST WITH CREAM CHEESE & CINNAMON SUGAR

  • 1 piece of bread

  • 1-2 tablespoons butter, soft

  • Large pinch of sugar

  • Cinnamon, to taste

  • Scoop of whipped cream cheese

  • 1 strawberry

  1. Toast your bread; let cool slightly. Meanwhile, mix the butter, sugar and cinnamon in a bowl until smooth. Put a scoop of whipped cream cheese into a resealable plastic bag; push to one side and snip corner to create a piping bag.

  2. Cut your strawberry into a heart shape (see below, if needed).

  3. Spread the cinnamon-sugar button on the center of your toast; make sure the toast is warm but not hot (otherwise everything will melt). Use the cream cheese to pipe the letters L, V and E onto your toast. Add your strawberry-heart as the O in Love and you’re done!
